5th Annual Warfighter Challenge
The American Pioneer Corps annual Warfighter Challenge is a test of physical fitness, teamwork, and technical skills, including 20km ruck, day and night land navigation, a 2km obstacle course, multi-disciplinary shooting from 25y to 600y, and team based pioneer tasks.
Intro to Small Arms and Small Arms Qualifications
This course includes essential training in rifle, pistol, and shotgun, as well as qualifications on the standard APC course of fire. Free ammunition available to Pioneer Candidate 1st Class and above on request.

Topics covered will include mountain planning considerations, pulley systems, one rope bridge, and mountain casualty evacuation. Event will also include a six mile hike under standard hike conditions.

Introduction to Winter Operations
This event will provide the participants with an introduction to operating in cold weather environments in mountainous terrain. Training will include classroom instruction, a guided overnight practical exercise in the field, and a live fire snowshoe biathlon. This event will be physically demanding and participants should be prepared for significant physical exertion in conditions from 7 to 20 degrees, with temperatures possibly reaching below 0. Small Arms Qualification
This event is being hosted by APC Illinois at the Gadsden Shooting Center in Iberia, MO. The event will consist of rifle, pistol, and shotgun qualifications on the standard APC course of fire. Free ammunition available to Pioneer Candidate 1st Class and above on request.
APC National Summer FINEX 2021
This event will consist of multiple concurrent activities spanning several states and regions around the country. Event locations will primarily be located in Missouri, West Virginia, and the Carolinas. The Summer Final Exercise (FINEX) for 2021 will put participants to the test with possibilities for mountaineering, small boat operations, land navigation during day and night, and leadership development exercises and evaluations. Registered participants should regularly check their practiscore message inbox in the weeks and days leading up to the event.

This event will utilize the skills covered in the Intro to Mountaineering and Pioneer Basic Mountain Skills to execute complex leadership assessment and development exercises during day and night.

This event will provide participants with further instruction in, and practice of, the use of small boats in an emergency or tactical environment. This event will include leadership assessment and development scenarios during both day and night.
Intro to Water Survival, Intro to Small Boats, and rating as a 3rd Class Pioneer Candidate or above are prerequisites to this event.
2021 Warfighter Challenge
Register here for the 2021 Warfighter Challenge. This event is exceptionally challenging and not intended for beginners. The American Pioneer Corps annual Warfighter Challenge is not a training event, but a test of physical fitness, teamwork, and technical skills. Competitors must arrive prepared for a 20km ruck, day and night land navigation, a 2km obstacle course, multi-disciplinary shooting from 25y to 600y, and team based pioneer tasks.
Entrance eligibility is limited to persons rated as a Pioneer Candidate 3rd Class or above, members or veterans of the armed forces (to include reserve components and ROTC), and public safety personnel (police, fire, and EMS). All other entry requests require approval and will be waitlisted pending space availability.
This event requires no entry fee.

Introduction to Water Survival
This event will begin with a six mile hike (with an option of 3 miles for first time participants). The remainder of the event will focus on the most basic elements of water survival as it applies to Pioneer activities. Topics will include an untimed 55y/50m swim assessment, instruction in basic drown proofing (including a five minute water tread), water entry from heights of up to ten feet, waterproofing gear, and a 55y/50m swim with a waterproofed 35lbs pack.
This event is a prerequisite for participation in small boat events.
APC Virginia Dining Out
The Virginia chapter of the American Pioneer Corps will host a business formal dining out in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Pioneers and their guests are invited to attend for an evening of camaraderie and good natured shenanigans. This will be a family friendly event, however we request that you find a an alternative activity for children under the age of 13.
This event includes an open bar. Tickets are $50 for adults and $35 dollars for minors.

Land Navigation
Course will cover the principles and application of land navigation utilizing a 1:25 map and lensatic compass. A 6 mile hike will be conducted prior to classroom and application portion of course.
