Marksmanship
The American Pioneer Corps provides free basic firearm safety and marksmanship instruction. We regularly compete in multi-gun matches, congressionally chartered Civilian Marksmanship Program service rifle matches, and modern military biathlon events. We require qualification on an APC standardized course of fire with the rifle, pistol, and shotgun for advancement in a participants rating.
Emergency Response
To be rated as a Pioneer, an APC participant must complete the S-130 and S-190 basic wildland fire training courses, and have completed appropriate accredited Basic Life Support and Stop the Bleed medical training.
Orienteering
We conduct training in both urban and wilderness land navigation, both with and without a compass. Our land navigation training includes day and night events. Our standards for orienteering are exceptional- even veteran navigators will find it challenging.
