Introduction to Winter Operations


This event will provide the participants with an introduction to operating in cold weather environments in mountainous terrain. Training will include classroom instruction, a guided overnight practical exercise in the field, and a live fire snowshoe biathlon. This event will be physically demanding and participants should be prepared for significant physical exertion in conditions from 7 to 20 degrees, with temperatures possibly reaching below 0.
